Technical Session "Extracting more for less through increased productivity. New technologies and equipment" will be held on October 9 in the Main Conference Hall of of the Radisson Slavyanskaya hotel. The session will be moderated by Mike Hallewell, Business Development Manager, SGS Minerals Services UK Ltd.

Evgeny Bogorodsky, Hydrometallurgy Lab Researcher, Irgiredmet JSC, will make a report "Complex treatment of refractory gold antimony and gold sulfide ores. Case study of deposit Udereiskoye".

Thomas Neumann, Head of Sales Mining Europe, ContiTech Transportbandsysteme GmbH, will tell about "CONTI(R) Megapipe – new dimension in pipe belt technology". New ways of steep angle conveying transport in open pit and other mines.

Mark Viduetsky, Advisor to the Director – Head of Training Research and Innovation Center "Preparation of raw materials to the metallurgical process", Institute of Materials Science and Metallurgy, Ural Federal University, will make a presentation "Application of pneumatic flotation machines CFM for dressing non-ferrous metals and zinc cakes". CFM pneumatic flotation machines were developed by the Institute of Materials Science and Metallurgy, UrFU, and designed to concentrate a wide range of ores and man-made materials. A key principle of work is pulp preparation for flotation owing to its saturation with finely dispersed air bubbles in ejectors. CFM plants, their advantages over domestic and foreign prototypes are described.

Anton Timchenko, Chief Commercial Officer, Engineering Complect Co Ltd, will make a report "Technological and energy audits of concentration plants as a way to reduce transaction costs". The report examines the issues of energy inspection and assessment of existing pump units of concentration plants (as one of the most energy-intensive areas of the enterprise) in terms of energy efficiency and reliability.

Alexey Fateev, Head of Customization Department, Dassault Systemes GEOVIA RUS LLC, will tell about "Opportunities of information systems integration in mining".

Maria Moshkova, Executive manager, "STC "MinStandards" Ltd. Group of Companies “ANAKON”, will make a presentation "Comparative analysis equipment used in Russian and international practice in the preparation and analysis of samples in exploration and mining". Worldwide in mining are used automatic system selection, preparation and subsequent analysis of the samples, including large-for technological research. In Russia, the use of automated systems is limited to a few companies. Despite the relatively high cost of such systems, they pay for themselves many times during the operation of the mine. Automated systems are operated in Australia for iron and gold ore deposits "RIO TINTO", in the company of "Alcoa Inc" (Australia) runs the fastest automated system in the world. Automated systems are installed in all fields "Newmont Mining Corp", fields "Barrick Gold Corporation". The Chilean mining industry is almost completely switched to automatic sampling systems. The use of such systems can improve the efficiency of testing, to reduce the concentration of harmful substances in the air of the working area and pollution.
