MINEX Partnership

MINEX Forum and International partnership (an abbreviation from Mining & Exploration) was established in 2005 with an objective of stimulating multidisciplinary discussions on Russia’s and Central Asia states’ transition to advanced and innovative mining and mineral exploration practices.

Partnership.enTo aid this process, MINEX partnership created in Russia, Kazakhstan and overseas a number of events and platforms for holding regular business conferences, organising training workshops, promoting emerging mining investment opportunities, holding professional discussions, addressing subsoil use regulation issues, awarding corporate and individual achievements and organising presentations of the cutting edge prospecting and mining technologies and much more.

The key annual events organised by the partnership are MINEX Russia Forum in Moscow and MINEX Central Asia Forum in Astana.

-       MINEX Russia Forum has been organised in Moscow since 2005 and is one of the largest and most prominent events in the country addressing issues of exploration, mining and processing of metals and minerals.  The Forum annually brings together over 600 directors and senior managers of mining companies, investors, public organisations, equipment and service providers from Russia, Central Asia, Ukraine and the countries of the European Economic Community, North America, Africa, Asia and Australia.  The Forum offers platform for presenting more than 100 reports and technical papers on Russian and international experience in improving the efficiency of the mining enterprises and the development of mining projects in current economic state.  The Forum traditionally provides diversified platform for business meetings, signing of agreements and hosting delegations. Trade and Investment Exhibition organised alongside the Forum attracts over 1 000 business visitors and key buyers.-       MINEX Central Asia Forum has been held in Kazakhstan since 2010. The Forum is considered to be one of the most advanced and business friendly mining events in the region. The Forum plays active role in promoting better mining practices, improving investment climate and aiding transfer of modern methods and technologies for mineral exploration, mining and processing.  The Forum is attended by over 400 senior executives and specialists from the mining industry from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, China, Japan, Korea, Russia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Finland, Canada, Australia, Austria and the USA.

-       MINEX Russia and MINEX Central Asia Forums actively facilitate changes in subsoil use regulation in Russia and Kazakhstan and provide regular meeting  opportunities with the senior Russian, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan government officials and ministers to address problem issues faced by the miners and investors.-       Besides these key Forums, MINEX Partnership also organises regular regionals conferences in Russia’s Far East , Polar North and Siberia offering delegates unique opportunities for visiting local mines and meeting with the Mine Directors, Regional Governors and Senior officials.

-       In 2011 MINEX Russia Forum established the Russian Mining Club which provides opportunities for regular meetings between the annual MINEX Russia Forums offering opportunities for business networking and in-depth discussions of technical and operational challenges arising in the Russian mining industry.  The current Club membership exceeds 1, 000 mining professionals and businessmen.

-       Annual Mining Student Competition and From Idea to Innovation Award were established by MINEX Partnership in 2011 to assist businesses and universities in aligning their efforts for improving technical, academic and business skills of mining graduates and preparing them for work in challenging and changing environment. 

-       Russian Mining Excellence Award, established by MINEX Russia Forum in 2007, benchmarks best practices in the Russian Mining Industry and awards Russian and International companies and executives for their outstanding achievements in improving mining industry standards.

-       The modern image of Mining in Russia and Central Asia is reflected by the annual photo competitions organised alongside MINEX Russia and MINEX Central Asia Forums.

-       MINEX is open to the international partnerships with the other leading mining events and currently has partnership agreements with the organisers of Mines and Money events in the UK, China and Turkey. MINEX also supports mining events organised by the Canadian Eurasian Business Association (CERBA), Exploration Exchange China and China Gold Congress and Expo.

-        MINEX partnership regularly contributes to the research studies and preparation of Russian and Central Asia’s mining industry reviews conducted by the international media and research organisations. 

-       MINEX TV internet channel is Eurasia’s pioneer internet-based platform covering key mining events and broadcasting interviews with senior executives, investors and experts working in Russia and Central Asia to the MINEX Global audiences.
